ABOUT PLANET PBS
Planet PBS is the newest kid on the block for positive behaviour support (PBS) services in Melbourne. We welcome people from all walks of life and embrace the many differences of the disabled and neurodivergent community. Here, behaviour is viewed as a means of communication to be listened to, explored and supported. Our approach to the elimination of restrictive practices goes hand-in-hand with increasing quality of life. Because when people are thriving, risky behaviours -- well, they pop up less! This is where assessments and behaviour support plans come in -- guiding the work we do and keeping everyone on the same page.
How we can help you

INTERIM RESPONSE
Interim behaviour support plans delivered on time with real strategies. Developed in consultation with the relevant people, interim behaviour support plans mitigate immmediate risk of harm to the participant, and provide safety protocols and fade out plans around use of restrictive practices.
FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOUR ASSESSMENT
We conduct functional behaviour assessments to ensure the strategies and skills we design are evidence-based and person-centred. By understanding the reasons behind why individuals use certain behaviours, we can support them to develop functional skills that target the underlying causes of behaviour.
PRACTICAL STRATEGIES
Sick of recieiving generic, copy-paste strategies? Not this time. The proactive and response strategies we propose are based on time spent with the participant, data, and most importantly - targeting the function of the behaviour.
BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PLANS
Each plan is individually tailored to the participant's strengths, needs, and goals, while meeting NDIS and regulatory requirements. Using a person-centred approach, we develop practical strategies that reduce barriers, build skills, and improve quality of life. Our plans are designed to support meaningful outcomes for participants and their chosen communities.
RESTRICTIVE PRACTICE ASSESSMENT & FADE OUT
Through comprehensive assessment and collaborative planning, we support participants and their teams to reduce reliance on restrictive practices and build positive, proactive support strategies. Our approach prioritises dignity, choice, and quality of life while ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.
TRAINING & SUPPORT
We firmly believe that knowledge is power, and everyone benefits when training is made available. We provide ongoing formal and informal training, to get everyone on the same page in the proactive and response strategies. Our team delivers training in a range of formats including online, recorded, or face-to-face.
Who we support

We support children, adolescents, and adults with diverse support needs, including neurodivergent and disabled people, and those experiencing mental health challenges.
Our service is mobile — we come to you, providing support in your home or local area.
